Our fully air-dried 100mm European Oak Decking has been carefully machined to a 25mm to ensure serious solidity to an already resilient domestic hardwood. As the decking is made from character grade oak, you may experience knots, irregular grain and the potential of a little sapwood, which adds to the natural charming characteristic of the board.
As oak is one of the most durable European hardwoods, you decking will require no treatment once the decking is laid, however often our customers choose to apply a coat of decking oil to preserve the natural colour and characteristics of the oak for a little bit longer. If your decking boards are not treated they will gradually become a beautiful silver/grey colour once weathered. Taking good care of wood is crucial to ensure your timber is protected against rot, decay and insect decay as this also enhances the natural beauty of the timber. Our decking boards are available in a range of lengths, so we are sure to have the dimensions required for your project. With the choice of either a bevelled edge non-slip profile or a planed smooth for a contemporary effect you can select the desired finish to you decking boards. Please be aware that if a preference is not stated then a bevelled edge profile will be supplied.
