Rebated Featheredge Cladding is a sawn board cut on the diagonal to produce a tapered board that is overlapped when fitted, similar to roof tiles. Our Rebated Featheredge Cladding is rebated to enable the boards to fix flat for additional stability and improved weather resistance.
It is important to ensure at least a 35mm overlap on each board (50mm is best) when making your calculations. If used horizontally, it may be possible to reduce the overlap to 25mm but a 2mm gap is needed to allow for possible expansion of the boards. The ideal time to fit the cladding to keep exposure to varying weather conditons at a minimum to prevent cupping, warping and twisting...

It is important to follow fixing guidelines and to use the correct fixings due to the natural characteristics of the timber used.
