Our Kiln Dried Oak V Tongue and Groove Cladding is perfect should you require that traditional 'T&G' look to your cladding project, with the elegantly rustic finish that Oak offers. Available in Character and First Grade as well as the option for End Matching to minimise wastage and allow for easy fitting.

Just like the classic T&G profile, these boards are fixed together by inserting the tongue into the groove. The chamfering at the top and the bottom of the boards accentuates the individual boards by creating a subtle 'V' shadow line along the joints. What makes this profile different from the standard Tongue and Groove profile is that these boards are reversible so either face can be used. Dependent on your style, they can also be fitted either horizontally or vertically; should you choose to fit them horizontally, it is recommended that the boards are installed with the tongue uppermost, this is to allow any moisture to fall away from the tongue.

Sawn on site, these boards contain varying in size sound knots, sometimes some colour variation, fissures, and areas of tight/straight perfectly grained oak. As the oak acclimatises to changing temperatures, your boards will also expand and contract.

Your boards will be supplied untreated. No treatments are required, however, if you wish to preserve the supplied colour for that little while longer or use a weather-resistant sealant, please take a look at our Treatex range. Should you wish to leave it to age gracefully, it will eventually turn to a beautiful silvery grey colour as the sun's rays do their work.

Ready to fix and available in two options - First and Character Grade:

First Grade is sorted to include only the clearest (most knot free) boards with the straightest grain possible. A perfect choice for all modern and contemporary applications.

Character Grade will have a mixture of all top four grades, 1 through to 4 - some clear of knots and some straight grain, others with knots and some sloping grain. A perfect choice for all traditional/rustic applications, it gives a less uniformed look, without compromising its excellent durability properties.

We offer the following section sizes:

  • 115mm x 22mm - The overall width is 115mm, with the visible face measuring 110mm
  • 142mm x 22mm - The overall width is 142mm, with the visible face measuring 137mm

The face size is less than 5mm to account for the tongue joint.
